SDGs in Wellness

Introduction


The Global Wellness Institute defines the wellness economy as “industries that enable consumers to incorporate wellness activities and lifestyles into their daily lives”. It encompasses all activities which promote physical and mental wellbeing: from yoga to healthy eating, personal care and beauty, nutrition and weight-loss, meditation, spa retreats, workplace wellness and wellness tourism.


The wellness economy is a colossal global industry that encompasses varied and diverse sectors, which enable consumers to incorporate wellness activities and lifestyles into their daily lives.
The Seven Dimensions of Wellness we will consider are:

Physical.
Emotional.
Intellectual.
Social.
Spiritual.
Environmental.
Occupational.


The final beneficiaries of this module are spa/wellness/fitness/hospitality learners. This module is intended to support trainers.
